Volunteer Park Cafe

Have you been?

Since Don was only home for one day we day we thought it appropriate to spend it letting other people do the cooking.

Chicken Pot Pie
We love the Volunteer Park Cafe. Their pot pie is the ultimate comfort food. They use fresh locally sourced ingredients (some straight from the backyard!) to create beautiful, sustainable dishes. My other go to item at VPC is the ginger chocolate cookie. They have lots of tempting baked goods at the counter but I can't ever seem to stray from my favorite. .

Over 100 years ago the building that houses the cafe was a grocery and meat market. The cafe has maintained the quaint old world feel of the store that once resided in its place and the result is a welcoming cozy neighborhood hangout.
