Mollie Wirtz | GeekGirlCon

In the spirit of costuming and halloween...

I snapped these photos of Mollie a couple weeks ago outside GeekGirlCon at the Convention Center downtown. She made her skirt and the bonnet was a gift. I've never been to any of the Cons that happen here in Seattle but I'm starting to think I want to. Everyone is having completely uninhibited fun and anyone I ever photograph outside is super friendly and enthusiastic. I love it.

These two are so talented. You can find Kelly's work here and Joe's here.  Remember Joe? I took his photo a while back on Broadway.

Bonnie Cashman | Lab5 Fitness

Bonnie is the owner of Lab5 Fitness on Broadway. I am always so impressed when I see people looking stylish pre\post workout. Bonnie is stunning regardless (she is like a walking advertisement for her studio) but it is extra impressive to me that she can pull off a great outfit wearing yoga pants... not an easy task.

Now that I've read about Lab5 I want to try it out!

Colton | Tanner Goods

Colton was so nice and took a second to step outside for a photo. Tanner Goods is really gorgeous inside. Definitely check out their stuff online.

I wandered into so many great shops while I was in Portland last week. Just around the corner from Tanner Goods I found Yo Vintage!, which is such a fun women's boutique. I snapped a photo of the totally adorable and stylish salesperson Colleen but I then later accidentally deleted it. Well, lesson learned... No deleting photos from my camera until I am certain they safely and happily loaded onto my computer.

Lisa Mangum | Oko Gallery Portland and Boet Jewelry

Lisa owns Oko gallery and store in Portland. Her earrings were made by Emily Bixler of Boet Jewelry which is also based out of Portland.

I know I always say this when I get home from a trip to Portland but seriously, such a great city! The food, the stores, the people. It is a really special place.

Dawn Schiermbaum | Knights Custom Leather

I'm a sucker for clothes with a story and I knew before I even stopped Dawn that this coat had one. She had it custom made by Knights Leather along with a pair of matching pants for a mountain man rendezvous.

Seattle MAN Article

Seattle Magazine did an article on the Seattle man's style in their October issue that is on stands now. They asked me to shoot the photos as well gather up some shots from the archives that give a glimpse into the different styles I have seen men wearing over the last year. Such a fun project.

You can read the article here.

THE DRESS by April Pride Trunk Show at Far4

Last night I stopped by Far4 for the April Pride trunk show. April designs THE DRESS; a beautiful one-size-for-everyone masterpiece made right here in Seattle. April also brought a new silk dress that she is making and her leather obi belts.

Far4's Jenny Hudak Klimenkoff put together a perfect evening of champagne, macarons and shopping.

Kate Donahue | Hitchcock Madrona

Seattle has so many little neighborhoods that I haven't been to yet. Until recently I had yet to check out Madrona even though it is just on the other side of the hill from me. So, one afternoon I headed down there and walked from end to end of this beautiful neighborhood. I started at the farmers market ended at Hitchcock Madrona. When I got to Hitchcock Madrona I was greeted by Kate who I photographed back in 2011. I'm embarrassed to say that Kate told me about this jewelry shop back then and as you can see in my post I had every intention of going immediately but... over two years later there I was finding myself in the shop for the first time. Big mistake, I shouldn't have waited so long. I can't imagine all I must have missed in those two years.

Hitchcock Madrona is truly unique. From the decor of the shop to the mesmerizing jewelry perfectly displayed throughout I was giddy the entire time I was there. Playing dress up is encouraged and every piece has a story. What really stood out to me though was line of leather cuffs designed by the owners. Kate is wearing the large sterling one here.  I think this may be my next treat yo-self.
