Ferdous Ahmed | Fourth Time

This is the fourth time I've photographed Ferdous for the blog. Every time I pass him he is wearing the most incredible ensemble made up of unique vintage finds but he puts them together in this modern way. 

Ferdous was on his way to The-In Arts-Collective on 17th where he recently had an installation for the Capitol Hill Blitz Art Walk. You can also find Ferdous selling carefully curated vintage clothing and accessories at the Hangover Flea Market. The next one is this Sunday at Chop Suey.

Around this time last year I took this photo of Marsha Burns walking her dog downtown. I really loved Marsha's style. My infatuation with oversized fuzzy coats and sweaters continues but my closet can't hold many more. They take up a lot of space!

SIFF Cinema Italian Style 2013 | Opening Night

Last night was the opening night for SIFF's Italian Film Fest. After a screening of L'Arbitro attendees headed over to The Hunt Club at The Sorrento Hotel on Madison for a night of Bocelli Italian wine, food and film talk. There were Vespas in attendance too of course.

I always resist new social media at first. I don't want to learn how to use it or I am afraid I will let it suck up my time. My last hold outs were Instagram and Pinterest  and I finally caved on both in the last few months. Instagram I am really growing to love because it has made me realize how incredible these little cameras on our iPhones are. As I scroll through my feed each day I'm amazed by the beauty that the people I follow find in the everyday world. I'm still getting rolling with Pinterest so my boards are a bit sparse but you can find me there under Dana Landon.

These are some things that I have posted since I signed up with Instagram. You can find me @itsmydarlin. I post about food, travels and animals that I think are adorable.
