Suria Markus | Fremont
I am so glad that Suria and I got a chance to talk about what she was wearing. Her mom inherited this poncho from her grandma. It originally came from Peru. And the scarf was handmade by her mom. So much history and love in her outfit.

Gaydi Allred | Butch Blum Window Artist
5th & Pine
Gaydi does the windows for Butch Blum downtown. I've admired those windows since moving here. It was fun to meet the mind behind the art.
I looove Gaydi's style. Varied proportions, lots of layers and the unexpected addition of bright red sneaks. I will be wearing my chuck high tops when I am her age too. She said she has had her's forever. It is neat to see past versions of them, there are always slight variations that can only be noticed when you look closely.
She gets her hair cut by Derik at Gary Manuel Salon and her scarf is from Butch Blum.

Gregory Paul | Pike Place Market
I caught Gregory finishing up his set at the market last week. He plays the Banjo beautifully and even in this cold weather manages to be well dressed while doing so.
I've been listening to his album Little Black Train all week. It so appropriate as my soundtrack while I am walking from place to place bundled up enjoying winter surrounded by holiday decorations. For some reason I associate banjo music with two totally opposite times of the year... camping in the summer and snowy winter days in Idaho.
You can find Gregory on facebook and you can buy his album here. Or better yet, find him at the market where you will get to see a live performance of his music and buy his album in person.

Marion Bailey | Redlight Vintage
Broadway & Republican
Marion works at Redlight Vintage on Broadway. One of my favorite second hand shops! I've spent many hours flipping through the hangers in that basement...

Scarves!
I've been wearing a big warm scarf every day over the last couple weeks to hide from the cold weather and wind. Tonight I got to thinking about some of my favorite shots of scarves over the years. I've taken a lot over the years but I narrowed it down to these. I hope they give you a little inspiration for making, finding or styling your own scarf as the weather continues to cool down.

Crumble & Flake Patisserie
Odds are you have already heard about it or walked by and seen the line stretching up Olive but just in case you aren't familiar with Crumble & Flake I wanted to make sure I did my part to spread the word. This relatively recent addition to Capitol Hill is my favorite Seattle supplier of French macarons. They generally have three flavors each day and every one that I have ever purchased has been amazing. The flavors above are pumpkin, blood orange and salted caramel. I also highly recommend their chocolate chip cookies, brownies and croissants.
If you are ever passing by on a Wednesday or Thursday morning, stop in! You'll avoid the sweet seeking crowds that gather there Friday-Sunday. They close at 3pm but generally close down for the day much earlier than that once they sell out.

Owen | Inventory Magazine | Vancouver, BC
I came across such a beautiful store last weekend in Vancouver, BC on my way to drinks in Gastown. Inventory is a menswear store, a magazine and a curator of unique lifestyle and culture from what I could gather in my short visit before having to run off to meet Don. Since getting home I've spent some time on their website and devoured Volume 4 of their incredible magazine, which I picked up while I was there. I love what these guys are doing. Check it out for sure.
Owen was working there during my visit and was nice enough to come out front for a photo.
