Jessica Amber Jones

Jessica Amber Jones- In front of Rag-O-Rama clothing store in the Little 5 Point neighborhood of Atlanta.

I found Jessica while shopping at Rag-O-Rama, an amazing consignment shop in Atlanta. After finding a gorgeous handmade midi length floral dress from the 60's for myself I snagged Jessica for a photo. When she isn't working at the shop Jessica runs a millinery brand called Amore. She made this fascinator! She also has a very creative boyfriend... he made the earrings that she is wearing. You can see a whole lot more of her great style at her blog The Modern Day Flapper.

Corina

Corina- Melrose & Pine on Capitol Hill
I'm on my flight back from Atlanta and I haven't loaded up the photos that I took there yet so I am going through photos that I took prior to leaving and I'm getting really excited about coming home. That is why I picked this photo for today. Corina's style feels very Seattle to me. After being in 90 degree weather and super high humidity I am ready to come back to the Northwest and throw a couple of layers on. Atlanta was great though! I can't get enough of that enchanting southern hospitality. And the food... it was good in the same way as Savannah, comfort food to the max! I got a few photos of people when I wasn't partaking in wedding festivities. As you will see in the upcoming days the style in Atlanta is a really unique mix and they make great use of vintage pieces. Stay tuned...

Shawn

Shawn- 6th & Pine downtown Seattle

It makes my day seeing such a well dressed fella. Shawn's outfit is a combo of all things great: unexpected lengths, a bowtie, a nice pair of comfortable shoes and classy classy to top it all off. I have been notice a lot of retro inspired haircuts around Seattle in the last year. It is an accessory all it self.

Atlanta!

I just arrived in Atlanta. Is there anywhere I shouldn't miss? I'm on the hunt for shopping, people watching, and of course... FOOD! Today we are going to the Little Five Points area and from there, who knows.

Now, I'm off for adventures!

Tasha

Tasha- Olive & Bellevue on Capitol Hill

What a gorgeous and feminine outfit. I absolutely adore Tasha's straw gaucho hat. Her style reminds me of these great ads that Chanel ran last year.

Por Que No?

I took the train down to Portland for a short stay two weeks ago for a street style photo project that I will tell you guys about soon. I was far from dilligent about getting photos of the delicious food I ate but on the way out of town Por Que No? was our last stop and I finally remembered to get the camera out.

We ordered a bunch of tacos... vegetable of the day special and fish for me. Shrimp and Chicken Mole for The Don. The Veggie Special was far superior to the fish and Don preferred his shrimp taco to the chicken mole.
This unique portland haunt seems like exactly what the creators of Bleu Bistro and the Buck would concoct if they brought Seattle a taqueria. This is my favorite type of restaurant. Not just for vegetarians and not just for meat eaters, local when possible, daring ingredients and busy but beautiful decor. I've never been one for the new age and pristinely clean cut restaurant interior. It makes it hard for me to feel at home. This mismatched mix of new and old is more my speed.

Next time I'm in the neighborhood I am for sure getting one of Por Que No?'s bowls. I saw someone digging into one on my way out the door and it looked divine.

Pearl Dragon

Pearl Dragon- 10th & Pine

What a great pair of well loved cutoffs! I love unfussy style when it gets warm. Not sloppy, just relaxed.

I'm sure I don't need to tell you about Seattle hip hop group Champagne Champagne. But just incase... they are quite awesome. Check them out! Your best bet though is to go see Pearl Dragon perform live with Champagne Champagne, you will be entertained.

Love Vintage?

"Why, yes I do thank you!" That is exactly what I said to this gorgeous Red Light buyer/visual display artist (greatest job ever right??) when I came across her handing out flyers for the store at the U-District street festival.

We are so lucky to have access to the amazing selection of vintage clothing available in this city. Red Light is where I go when I am not in the mood to do a lot of hunting. I can step in the store ask a salesperson if they have a specific item and they will happily lead me right to it if available... or, if I am searching for something from a specific era I can head straight to the rack dedicated to that decade. Easy peasy.

Holly

Holly- 15th Ave E & Thomas

It doesn't get much better than finding a beautiful vintage piece of clothing that is in mint condition. Holly said that when she came across this coat she had to get it because it was in such perfect condition. When you think about how quickly you can wear out a favorite item of clothing it seems pretty amazing that it is even possible to still have beautiful pieces like this one around today looking virtually unworn. I guess it really goes to show the value of a well made item as well as the importance of taking good care of the things that you love to wear. I need to work on this...

Alice

Alice- Harvard & Pine on Capitol Hill
Alice picked these Camper boots up in Spain. I have a pair of black Camper ballet flats that I nabbed on mega sale at Edie's forever ago and I love them to death. The are crazy comfortable and have a perfect shape. Maybe I need these, these or these next?

I can't get enough of the Lindsay Wier-esque jackets that I have been seeing on the ladies over the last year or so. This one may be my favorite yet... Time to go watch some Freaks and Geeks.

Sasha

Sasha- University Avenue
The trusty timelessness of a Marimekko print. This bag is magnificent. Bright, bold, big enough to hold many things, all while being a total classic. Setting aside the possibility that Sasha is anything like me and will get the cream colored parts of this bag super dirty from over use; this bag could be worn with style forever.

I must dedicate this post to my dear friend Kathleen who introduced me to Marimekko years ago.

Ben

Ben- 11th & Pine on Capitol Hill

Oh Ben, straight to my heart with your old hat. There was quite a bit of millinery detail and it fit him perfectly. I could instantly tell that Ben was a guy with appreciation for classics and pure enthusiasm for style.

Emily

Emily- Broadway & Thomas (prior to demolition)

My attention is so immediately drawn to all things vermillion right now. In fact, my toes have been getting painted OPI Atomic Orange for almost a year now. Originally I did it for a particular outfit then I ended up falling in love with it and have been painting them that color since.

Sandwich Weekend

Sometimes Don and I just really crave a well made sandwich. On weekends when this craving hits we usually end up overindulging at the farmer's market and the store on way to many fixin's and we eat different combintations throughout the weekend. Our most recent concoctions...

Grilled apple, Manchego and Beecher's Flagship on (I can't remember the bakery, darn) crusty bread from the U district farmers market.

Vegan walnut pate on toasted Essential Baking Co bread with sliced apple, roasted red pepper and perfect lettuce from the farmers market.

By the end of these weekends we always end up thoroughly stuffed and with lots of leftover bread because we have bought more than one loaf after much deliberation deciding on one at the bakery.

Nathan & Heather

Cozy wool layers on a cold day at the Ballard Market a couple weeks ago. Its exciting that last Sunday's market was full of warm weather attire and fresh scoops of ice cream. I was so busy basking in the sun I didn't take any photos.

Jason

Jason- In front of Nordstrom

Great boots made even better with a perfect pair of laces. I have so many shoes that could use a better pair of laces. They can entirely change your shoes, especially any that you may have lost interest in... give them a shoe lace makeover.

Rachel

When I passed Rachel on my way home from downtown a little over a week ago she was enjoying the sun more than anyone else that I saw during the recent bout of warm sunny weather. Seeing her having so much fun made me really happy and so ready for spring... and color!

Lisa & XO From Seattle

Fellow Seattle fashion blogger Lisa. Lisa runs XO From Seattle with her friend Melissa. This girl's got great style and her eye for it shows on their blog.

Lisa made her way straight to my heart when I saw her vintage Levi's, Bean bag and mismatched patterns. I have been wearing a pair of my dad's old Levi's since high school. When I first started wearing them it was in a grunge sort of way with the bottoms hanging straight down to my black low top converses. They were tucked away for years in my closet and about 5 years ago I pulled them back out and started wearing them cuffed up at the bottom with everything from feminine heels to my now go-to cream high top converse sneakers. It's been a long run wearing them this time around. I wonder if they will get tucked away again, and if so, when they will peak my interest the next time.

Dog Park

Generally when I pass a dog park I can't help but stop and watch the dogs play for a while. It can be such a meditative and uplifting activity. On my most recent walk past the dog park, in addition to getting my much needed fill of adorable dog watching, I spotted this photoworthy outfit.
