Ferdous | Outside Caffe Vita

It's been WAAAY too long since I photographed Ferdous. His style makes me so happy. The last few times we have crossed paths I didn't have my camera with me.

Ty Ziskis | Brainfreeze

I love stopping by to see Ty at Brainfreeze. This art gallery and shop downtown in the old Lusty Lady is such a fun escape. That second picture up there is the dressing room! If you don't live in the area you can also find a lot of the clothes from Brainfreeze for sale on Garmentory. Ty's unisex line Zed is so so good.

Gilia, Gavia and Larka | Pike Street

I found sisters Gilia, Gavia and Larka Angell (such stunning names!) on Pike street on Capitol Hill. Pretty neat, they each have a totally different style. These three are were born and raised here. True Seattleites.  I actually photographed Gavia years ago outside a SIFF film...

Sophia Ardekani and Briana Groden | 11th Ave

I love seeing the 90's so prevalent in style and pop culture right now. When I was in high school I was obsessed with 70's style and wore all of my mom and dad's old clothes. Now my friend's teenage kids are stealing their old clothes and getting bowl cuts. The music of my childhood is held in the same regard as the albums by Led Zepplin and Fleetwood Mac that I worshiped from my parent's record collection. It's neat getting to experience this cycle come full circle.

Madeleine Pope | Cosmic Twin

I met Madeleine at Magic Hour 2 night market at Little London Plane earlier this summer. She had her line of handmade jewelry Cosmic Twin there. Her jewelry is so perfectly simple. I've had my eye on the Bondage Ring since I saw it. Definitely check out her website and ig.

Forest Eckley | Outside Glasswing

I ran into Forest while walking by the Melrose Market. After taking his photo ended up following him back into work at Glasswing when he said the magic words, "We just got a bunch of new plants in". Glasswing is such a special shop. I feel so lucky to live just a few blocks away. They have my two favorite things: Plants and clothes (like really really beautiful clothes).

Forest is co owner of Glasswing along with Sean Frazier.

At Home With Jess Marie Griffith

I met Pine + Boon designer and artist Jess Marie Griffith a couple years ago when she was working at Moorea Seal in Belltown (where you can find some of her designs by the way!). She had such great style. I photographed her outside the shop and have been following her work since. Jess was nice enough to invite me into her Seattle home and studio for an afternoon to photograph where she and her husband, artist Cable Griffith, live and work with their son Forest. We lucked out and it was a gorgeous spring day. Jess invited her friend, BZR designer Tiffany Ju and her son Rosco over and we spent the afternoon chatting in her gorgeous backyard and home.

Jess's studio is in her backyard. It is such a perfect quiet space for creating. Amazing!

Jess' studio desk, Pine + Boon bags, a bookshelf in the studio

Jess and Cable's home is filled with art by friends and Washington artists that they admire. It is like a live-in gallery.

A Pine + Boon wallet, Rosco and Luna scoping out the scene in front of the house, Tiffany and Rosco (so sweet!)

The baby room. So lovely

Thanks for having me Jess!

Artist Sheila Klein | Edison, WA

We stopped in Edison on our way home from Vancouver, BC the other day. I love this town so much. The people who live there and own the shops that line the short block of businesses are so creative and kind. Each trip always leads to a new lasting connection with someone from the area. I passed Sheila Klein in front of Shop Curator selling her line of woven cloth garments under the name New Trade Route. After seeing this dress on Sheila I was totally sold so I tried on several different style over my clothes right there on the sidewalk and ended up getting the dress Sheila has on in this photo. These pieces are hand made in Bow with fabric purchased Buenes Aires, Argentina. It is soft, changes with the shape of your body and the material can go in the washer on delicate. Sheila is an artist that has been living in Bow for the last 20 years. Definitely check out her website. She has created art instillations internationally and her website is a great way to see the creative mark she leaves in her path.

Wayne and Jill Brandmarker Donnelly | Baby & Company Pop Up

I finally got a chance to visit the Baby & Company pop up shop in the Oddfellow's building on Capitol Hill. Wayne and Jill are such a great style resource for this city. Their main store downtown is filled with beautiful hard to find clothes and accessories that are so destined to become staples in your wardrobe. The pop is a small glimpse into that world. Swing by to take advantage of the great deals they've got before it's run on Capitol Hill is over at the end of the month.

Outside SCCC

This Capitol Hill designer gave me his card but when I got home I discovered that both my lipstick and said card were no longer in my pocket... In their place was a big hole. An unfortunate way to discover a hole in my pocket.
