Clinton is in local electro pop band Sketch Echo. You can hear their music on their website and Myspace page. Clinton draws inspiration for his style in elements of Steampunk and, like me, highly enjoys following the photography of The Satoralist.

Julia- From LA to Seattle

Julia- 12th & Pine on Capitol Hill.

It's pretty rare that I can say this about one of my photos but if you love Julia's vintage 1950's Chanel coat the very same one is currently hanging in the window at Le Frock. What are the odds right? Julia was visiting from LA when I found her and we talked briefly about this gorgeous coat. She was looking forward to by stopping by Le Frock she in hopes that she might be able to find out more about it from them. Hope you had a great visit to Seattle Julia!

GPH Style

Erica- Part of the team behind Product Runway

Courtney- Attended GPH with Market Optical Inc. They had a table filled with unique frames to play dress up with. I am going to stop by their shop in the Market and see if they have the frames I have been on the hunt for over the last two months.

Kelly & Bri- The Founder/Owner and the Director of Marketing for Sassy Fit, a personal training and yoga company located here in Seattle. Check out their website for info on classes and services they offer. They also have a great blog with tips on healthy living.

Girl Power Hour at Banana Republic

On Thursday I attended a Girl Power Hour Event at the downtown Seattle Banana Republic. Ten lucky ladies were chosen by the girls of GPH to be made over by local Seattle stylists and Gene Juarez Salon. Banana closed it's doors early and transformed the store for a night of runway, drinks, food, socializing, and shopping.

Drinks were provided by Pearl vodka and O wines and Il Fornaio provided the crowd delicious hor doeuvres. I hear Trophy Cupcakes also brought a table filled with their tasty cakes but they were a big hit and had all been gobbled up before I arrived.

The makeover reveal took place on the runway and was hosted by Q-13's Lily Jang.

Tysen Gannon's makeover may have been my favorite of the evening. Her stylist Mayna Sgaramella (pictured with Tysen) did an incredible job of giving Tysen a chic, simple, and modern look. Mayna is a wardrobe consultant and personal stylist with her own company Closet Fly. Such an awesome job, right?

Stylist Rachel Kim of Bellevue's Vue Society Blog with her two ladies Chelsea & Lucy. Gene Juarez did an incredible job with Chelsea's hair makeover, so glamorous!

I got a chance to snap photos of several great outfits... I'll show you guys these photos in my next post.

Jill & Melodie

It was GORGEOUS outside today! The sun was shining, temps in the 60's, and everyone was outside taking it all in. I found Jill and Melodie enjoying the day at this table outside of Pettirosso on Pike and 11th. If you can nab it before someone else does this is the perfect spot to take in a beautiful day. After chatting for a bit I learned that these two didn't come to the coffee shop together but just happened to be sharing the table. I praised them for breaking out of the Seattle norm of avoiding social contact with unfamiliar people when out and about.

They both work just around the corner from this coffee shop. Jill at my favorite Seattle newspaper The Stranger (has everyone checked out StrangerMart yet??) and Melodie at the fabulous Atlas Clothing (if you haven't shopped here... it's time... such a great vintage shop!). Melodie is also a photographer as well as a hair model for Sassoon Salon downtown who you may remember from this post. I have got to get myself over to Sassoon and try them out, it's official.

It's probably because we are having such a mild one but I am really enjoying this winter. With the lack of wind and rain I have been out and about much more than in past years. I am finding that there is an all around better mood to the city. Maybe it's just me but haven't there been an awful lot of smiles on the people in my photos for winter in Seattle. It's because we aren't absolutely frozen like we should be this time of year.
