Elisa Vergara and Mary Santiago | Outside SAM

I ran into Elisa and Mary on their way out of SAM after going to see the Kehinde Wiley exhibit. They were even dressed for it with their floral patterns. So great.

Mary is an artist here in Seattle. You can find her work at yrgnuH.comhttp://www.yrgnuh.com/ and on instagram under the handle @milkbean.  I photographed Elisa a few years back with her husband Alfredo. Such a great style.

Cosanti | Paradise Valley

I spent last week simmering in the Phoenix sun. We visited the former gallery and studio of architect Paolo Soleri. Soleri lived at Cosanti with his wife until his death in 2013.

I didn't bring my camera with me but I took some photos of the grounds with my phone.

The Frye Art Museum Store | Rachael, Rosie and Jeffrey

Can we please talk about the Frye Art Museum? I love this place so much. Now that I live on First Hill I stop into the museum all the time to take a walk through and see what's new or just to sit in the epic room of oil paintings for a while (I'll never stop finding new things in those paintings). The museum is always free (even parking!) and in addition to their permanent collection The Frye features a really diverse range of exhibitions in all different mediums; however, what I really want to gush about today is the Frye Store. It is absolutely gorgeous and filled with the most unique array of gifts for yourself and anyone on your shopping list. The Frye Shop is on my short list of places in the city that I know I can pop into and easily find a gift for the people in my life that are hardest to shop for. Rachael Lang, the store manager and buyer has such a great eye and has created a perfect mix of items by talented local designers and artists as well as one of a kind pieces and antiques. The shop itself is absolutely stunning and always leaves me inspired and rethinking the decor of my apartment...

We certainly are lucky to have The Frye in Seattle. I'm sure most of you are very familiar with it but if you haven't spent any time there I really recommend visiting soon. Thanks to Rachael, Rosie and Jeffrey for taking the time for a photo. Rosie (center) also works in the shop and Jeffrey is the museum's Director of Communications. The images of the store interior were taken by Rachael who is a visual artist when she isn't busy running the shop. Check her work out here.
