 I visited Seattle last weekend and brought my camera with me! I will be posting the street style photos I captured during my visit over the next week or so. Maurielle and Jamie were the first people I stopped. They were in Seattle on vacation too, from LA.

I've featured Carol on the blog before when I met her years ago. She let me take her photo on a recent visit to my place on our way to lunch. Carol has such a great eye. This jacket is a men's Pendleton robe that she tailored, so clever!! Carol makes beautiful timeless leather bags, I love this one. Another visit to the NW District of Portland. I passed these two while walking around waiting for my pizza takeout. A guy walking his dog came through while I was photographing them and it made for an adorable photo so I am throwing that one in too. 

People are really nice in Portland. With the hiatus I took during the pandemic it had been a bit since I bothered strangers for photos. I have to admit that I'd kinda lost my stride but each person I've stopped here has been incredibly friendly and given me insight on neighborhoods that I should check out. Hawthorne has been a unanimous suggestion so I look forward to spending some time photo hunting over there. 

Helen + Kate | Nob Hill | Portland

I spent the afternoon walking around Portland's Northwest District on Friday. Somehow, in all my trips to Portland prior to moving here I never made it to this area. What a sweet neighborhood just a quick walk from downtown. It reminded me a little bit of some parts of San Francisco.

I passed Helen and Kate when I popped back down the street to grab a slice of cake at Papa Haydn before heading home. Moral of the story... Always stop for cake.

Jackson and Nick | Mississippi Ave | Portland

Wow... It's been a bit. Getting street style photos in Phoenix was hard, then the pandemic hit and it became virtually impossible. So I sort of shelved It's My Darlin' for a bit. We recently moved back up to the Northwest and I'm back at it! You can find me hunting for photos in the Portland area for the foreseeable future. I'm pretty excited to be living here. I really love this city.

So, here it is, my first It's My Darlin post as an Oregon resident! I found these two while I was on my way to Bar Bar to meet up with some friends. Nick is actually moving to Seattle soon, right near my old place. It's a small world we live in.
