Seattle has so many little neighborhoods that I haven't been to yet. Until recently I had yet to check out Madrona even though it is just on the other side of the hill from me. So, one afternoon I headed down there and walked from end to end of this beautiful neighborhood. I started at the farmers market ended at Hitchcock Madrona. When I got to Hitchcock Madrona I was greeted by Kate who I photographed back in 2011. I'm embarrassed to say that Kate told me about this jewelry shop back then and as you can see in my post I had every intention of going immediately but... over two years later there I was finding myself in the shop for the first time. Big mistake, I shouldn't have waited so long. I can't imagine all I must have missed in those two years.
Hitchcock Madrona is truly unique. From the decor of the shop to the mesmerizing jewelry perfectly displayed throughout I was giddy the entire time I was there. Playing dress up is encouraged and every piece has a story. What really stood out to me though was line of leather cuffs designed by the owners. Kate is wearing the large sterling one here. I think this may be my next treat yo-self.
