I keep meaning to post these photos. On the way home from Portland a couple weekends ago we stopped at a diner for breakfast in a little town just over the Washington-Oregon border called Woodland. After our massive greasy spoon breakfast at
American Family Diner our server asked if we were in town for the tulip festival... we told him that we didn't know about a tulip festival... he excitedly told us all about it and insisted we go. Can't say no to that.
The
Woodland Tulip Festival is much smaller than the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival and as a result, much less crowded. It was such a peaceful and unexpected detour.
I'd show you photos of our breakfast in my normal fashion but once we saw those platters of food we completely forgot to take pictures. Yum.
