Warby Parker Class Trip is in Seattle

If you wear glasses and haven't heard of Warby Parker yet... brace yourself. They are an online glasses store that sells glasses starting at $95 which includes the frame, prescription lens, anti-glare, UV protection and scratch resistant coating. In addition to getting a pair of glasses for at least half of what you would pay at other eye glass stores (more like 1/4 the price of a lot of places...) Warby Parker also gives a pair of glasses to someone in need for every pair sold.

Seriously!?

I've yet to need a new pair of glasses since I discovered these guys but any time someone asks me where I got my glasses or if I have suggestions for where they should look for a similar pair I point them in the direction of Warby Parker. It just seems like the perfect set up. They have free shipping in both directions and you can order glasses to try on at home so that you can find the perfect pair.

So, the bus up there... Warby Parker is touring the country this summer in that converted school bus and it is filled with glasses and sunglasses for you to try on and order right there. They invited me down to where they have set up camp on 2nd & Pine (across from the old Nordstrom Rack) so that I could check out the bus and try on some glasses. I was there forever and I think I may have tried on just about every pair. I ended up picking out the greatest pair of sunglasses. I am so excited to have prescription sunglasses! It will be my first pair. Gone will be the days of squinting through my regular glasses all summer long. I'll post a photo of them when they arrive.

It's a neat opportunity to get to see how you like their frames while you have pretty much the whole online store right in front of you. Once you find your perfect pair and get sized then you are set. Then anytime you need a new pair of glasses down the road you can just hop on their website and order up another pair.  Hurry up and get down there while the bus is still in town.
