We stopped in Edison on our way home from Vancouver, BC the other day. I love this town so much. The people who live there and own the shops that line the short block of businesses are so creative and kind. Each trip always leads to a new lasting connection with someone from the area. I passed Sheila Klein in front of Shop Curator selling her line of woven cloth garments under the name New Trade Route. After seeing this dress on Sheila I was totally sold so I tried on several different style over my clothes right there on the sidewalk and ended up getting the dress Sheila has on in this photo. These pieces are hand made in Bow with fabric purchased Buenes Aires, Argentina. It is soft, changes with the shape of your body and the material can go in the washer on delicate. Sheila is an artist that has been living in Bow for the last 20 years. Definitely check out her website. She has created art instillations internationally and her website is a great way to see the creative mark she leaves in her path.
