Jonathan Warman and Fences

I caught Jonathan on his way to the Paramount and he was kind enough to have a seat for a photo and to talk about his music. I also found out that Jonathan is one of the lucky few in Seattle that get to live and work as an artist in one of the cities very rare historic loft apartments in Pioneer Square.

Jonathan plays bass for Seattle band Fences. Check out the bands blog and Myspace page and see them play at the SAM Remix on Thursday June 3rd from 5:30-7:30 (this is also the opening of the Kurt exhibit). They will also be performing at Capitol Hill Block Party, Bumbershoot and Doe Bay Music Festival.

And... there's more! Jonathan recently produced, mixed and engineered an album for one of my favorite Seattle groups Mt. St. Helens Vietnam Band. You can download an exclusive listen of the track "Leaving Trails" at SPIN magazine's website.

Great shot Dana! I checked out Jonathan's myspace... great tunes, super moody, love it! Where can I get some shoes like that?

All the best young lady,

Thanks Mark! Yeah, aren't Fences great? I just added a link to the post for a song that Jonathan produced and mixed with Mt. St. Helens Vietnam Band. Also an amazing Seattle band.

I'll check with Jonathan and find out where he got his shoes. I did a quick search for "loafers" on Etsy and found a few similar ones. Your best bet is vintage:
