Nordic Fashion Biennale

This is the last week to see the Nordic Fashion Biennale in Ballard. I finally got a chance to check it out on Saturday and it was a truly spectacular exhibit. Sunday is the last day these beautiful designs will be on display here in Seattle. Rather than inundate you with photos I'll let you go check it out for yourself but here are a few things that really caught my eye...

This looks incredible! I would've loved to have gone to it. I wish I would've known sooner. Being of Norwegian heritage, my grandparents immigrated from Norway, even the title 'Looking Back to Find our Future' appeals to me.

The next time you are in the area you will have to go to the Nordic Heritage museum where this took place. The museum is always there but this exhibit ends this weekend. Sad! I wish I would have gone sooner so that I could have posted about it sooner... The designs were amazing!

Thanks Aslaug!! I didn't know about the FB page. I was so impressed with the exhibit. I hope that it happens again in a few years with new designs. I think that there is a very interesting parallel between Nordic fashion and the style of the northwest.
