Indigo Shibori Workshop | Phoenix, AZ | Feb 22

Learn Shibori Indigo Dyeing at the Historic Casa Mañana

Step away from your busy life and dive hands first into the art of Shibori with a full afternoon workshop that will teach you the skills needed to produce beautiful hand dyed indigo fabric. Learn what goes into creating a dye vat and producing stunning one of a kind indigo pieces on the tranquil and inspiring grounds of a 1920’s home designed by architect Jarvis Hunt at the foot of Camelback Mountain. Enjoy delicious bites and a seltzer bar during the workshop provided by Phoenix artisan cheese board wizard 88 Pretzels. You will leave the class with two flour sack towels dyed by you as well as the newfound skills to have your own dyeing sessions later.
  • What to bring: All materials provided. All you need to do is show up! It is recommended that you wear dark clothing and dark closed-toed shoes (or anything that you are okay getting messy) as it is likely that you will get dye and water on the things you wear.
