It's Spring!

I love tulip magnolias.  Not only are their blooms spectacular but they are also a sign that it is actually starting to feel like spring in Seattle (which I couldn't be more ready for after this year's strange snowy winter).  I ran by this one yesterday morning and had to stop and snap some pictures with my phone.  These fragile blooms don't last long so I often stop and enjoy for a bit when I see one.

I knew they were magnolia's! Thanks for settling an ongoing debate. :)

Oooohhhh, I love Spring in Seattle! Spring and Fall, it has to be one of the most beautiful places to be in the world. If so much wasn't going on, I would be on a plane this weekend. I'm due for a Seattle trip.

Yes, it took me (surprisingly, since it is such an amazing tree) a really long time to figure out what type of plant this is. I wish that those flowers stuck around all summer!

Come up here and walk through the flower filled streets with me Veroninca!
