Well, The farmer's markets are back in full swing now that May is upon us. I love this time of year! The University District's market is year round but the vendors are a bit sparse during winter. It's great seeing everyone's tents back up again now that it is warming up. First stop was Belle Epicurean for some sweets. I picked the chocolate liqueur mousse and Don went with the Apple Brioche. Their traditional French desserts are all so decadent. I don't recall ever eating a treat from here that I didn't like.
Seattle area organic farms were out selling starts. This might just be the year that I break down and build a window box. I am dying to have all of my favorite fresh herbs at home. It's just not as fun walking by these beautiful stands when I don't have a garden to spoil.
Tulips, tulips, and more tulips. All of the flowers stands were filled with them. All for less the $10 a bunch.
Fiddleheads from Foraged and Found Edibles! This stand of mushrooms, berries and greens is full of great seasonal produce and beautiful presentation every time I see it.
